Sacredness, Sacrifice & Choice: Using Spoken Word Poetry to Talk About Identity at Camp
Feedback form is now closed.
Camp can be the ultimate testing ground for exploring identity and cultivating the stories that bind you, your colleagues, and your campers to camp. In this track, you will learn how you and your campers can use spoken word poetry as a tool for sharing your stories and truths, while turning writing into a sacred ritual act. You also will experience and learn how spoken word poetry and performance – and bringing the page to the stage – can be an equally sacred space at camp for safety, opportunity, and empowerment.
