Aki Yonekawa

Aki fell in love with Jewish camp at nine years old on top of a hill in Malibu and has been involved in Jewish camp in one way or another for the last three decades. She was a camper at Gindling Hilltop Camp, worked at Camp Hess Kramer, Camp JCA Shalom and then finally settled at Camp Alonim where she worked as an Assistant Director and even lived on campus for six years. She currently runs the Early Career Fellowship, an initiative that places recent college graduates from Jewish high schools to work in experiential education and Jewish life - all the campy stuff that happens in a school. Aki is a native Californian living in Boston (for now!). She is excited for next phase of her career working in leadership development in camps and schools and anywhere experiential education takes place!
